Skybeds provides a completely unique safari experience in the Khwai Private Reserve in Botswana. Guests sleep 5 metres above the ground on raised platforms open to the sky, offering superb views of the surrounding savannah and all the animals that call this area home. Only six guests are catered to at any given time, making this one of the most intimate safari experiences in Botswana!
Each Skybed suite has three stories – the first floor is a dining and lounge area, the second floor includes a bathroom with shower, flushing toilet and changing room, and the top floor is an open-air bedroom. The sleeping platform includes a soft double bed with mosquito nets and cosy bedding to keep guests warm at night.
Each suite sleeps 2 guests, but arrangements can be made to include extra beds on the second story for families.
The accommodation is luxurious but not pretentious. Wholesome meals are served on the dining platform or around the fire pit. All 3 floors offer spectacular views out over the grasslands and the nearby waterhole.
A stay at Skybeds includes 4×4 game drives and guided bush walks. The small size of the camp combined with its location in the Khwai Private Reserve ensures a truly exclusive game viewing experience. The area is home to a herd of 400 bull elephants, predators like lion and leopard, as well as giraffe, zebra, wild dog and kudu.
If you’re looking for a safari experience which exceeds all others, then consider Skybeds, it will not disappoint!
