‘It’s impossible not to love Zambia and its people’

Dear Camille

We are now home and at the top of my “to-do” list is a note to write to you and say what a wonderful, amazing, truly memorable trip it was!  We want to thank you for organising it.  It went like clock-work, smooth transfers and flights, smiling, friendly lodge operators waiting for us on arrival, the bush, the food, the animals, the food, the birds, the food, the sunrises and sunsets, THE FOOD!!!

At the Upper Zambesi, we boated up-river to Ngonye Falls and rode the rapids back down again!

I woke up in my own bed at 3 am this morning , longing for the African Bush……..  Peter just has to say the word and I’d move there!

We have to go back again sometime, if only to catch (and release) more tiger fish in the Zambesi River.  It’s impossible not to love Zambia and its people.

We were delighted with our upgrade to Shumba Bush Camp (very impressed with their environment conservation principles) and also an upgrade to the Hippo Pod at Kasaka River LodgeMfuwe Lodge was also fantastic – hippos and crocodiles outside our door plus a leopard and a hyena visited us in camp one evening!  We found that all our needs were met before we even knew we had a need and in fact we were spoilt rotten.  Every lodge surprised us with unexpected meals in beautiful places.  Peter loved the fishing;  Robert loved the birds and we all loved everything.

I can’t think of anything that could have made the trip any better.  It was fantastic.

If you have any specific questions about any of the suppliers, I’d be happy to answer them.  We will recommend you to anyone we know who wants the best Africa holiday.
