Stanley’s Camp, Okavango Delta accommodation
Classic in style, Stanley’s Camp is situated on a private concession on the Southern Tip of Chief's Island in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, and is shaded by large sausage trees.
X-Factors of Stanley’s Camp
- Walking safaris and night drives
- Walking with elephant experience (optional extra)
- Intimacy, exclusivity and position of the camp
- Serene mokoro excursions
- Hammocks slung from the tents’ private balconies
In the eight luxury safari tents of Stanley’s Camp are beautifully decorated with handcrafted beds, dressed with the finest linen; oriental carpets to incorporate a splash of colour; and antique furniture leaving no doubt as to the exclusivity of the camp. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom and a private balcony overlooking the Moremi.
After a morning walking safari, game drive or mokoro ride on the delta, what better way to relax and indulge oneself than an afternoon spent resting in the hammocks or Morris chairs on a private balcony overlooking the Boro River.
Stanley’s Camp offers spectacular game viewing, including the rare and elusive wild dog. Animals are viewed by open 4x4 vehicles and mokoro canoe excursions (subject to water levels). Or for something different, bush dinners add exponentially to the Botswana safari experience
Stanley’s Camp is unique in that it offers an educational experience with a trio of semi habituated African elephants. This is your chance to spend a day getting to know and understand what makes these majestic animals tick. A wonderful and enlightening experience that will have you enthralled.
