OVERVIEW OF SOUTHERN AFRICA

Southern Africa has so much to offer… Its like a giant playground of wonder on the end of the African continent.
South Africa - With a sophisticated infrastructure, cheap currency, diverse cultures, natural beauty, animals, wines and beaches.   Namibia - Wide open spaces, sand dunes, fascinating peoples and strange desert wildlife. Botswana - The ultimate safari destination with the best wildlife in the world. From waterways to deserts, Botswana is a photographer’s paradise.  Zambia - Is for purists! Great mobile walking safaris and excellent birding.  Camps are small and remote. Mozambique - White deserted beaches, coral reefs, warm sea, cheap seafood and laid back locals. Malawi - Warm and unspoilt. The undiscovered lake and plateaus offer pristine romantic adventure.

South Africa

Test Alt

The ultimate Big Five destination, South Africa has the famous Kruger Park and Madikwe game reserves. Safari lodges offer luxury accommodation in chalets or tents and suit all budgets. Families enjoy the Garden Route with beautiful beaches and fun adventure activities. Cape Town is a cosmopolitan city with rich cultural flavours, beaches, and famous Table Mountain.

Namibia

Different from the other countries in Southern Africa, Namibia is about nature, wide open spaces and peace. Balloon over the desert at Sossusvlei with its ever-changing colours. Track desert elephants on the Skeleton Coast. Go on a big five safari in the Etosha National Park, an ancient salt pan with large herds of elephant. The Caprivi Strip offers a water based safari with excellent game viewing and exclusive lodges for recharging your batteries.

Botswana

Botswana is all about safari. Elephants play in the water as you canoe past in the Okavango Delta; lions stalk giraffe in the Linyanti while you watch from your safari vehicle. The meercats in the Central Kalahari delighting both children and adults with their antics. In the evening you retreat to your luxury tented camp complete with swimming pool, lounge and bar area and sometimes even a spa. Luxury and wildlife go hand in hand in Botswana.

Zambia

The remote safari parks of Zambia are the last traditional safari destinations in Africa. The Lower Zambezi is a particularly prolific game area with game viewing is by boat and vehicle. Anglers will enjoy  tiger fishing on the Zambezi River. Walkers and bird lovers will enjoy the South Luangwa while nature lovers will delight in the wide open plains of the Kafue National ParkVic Falls offers white water rafting and elephant back safaris.

Mozambique

The diving and snorkeling in Mozambique rivals the best in the world. Reefs and pristine waters present the opportunity to swim with whale sharks and manta rays.  The less adventurous will enjoy dolphin and whale watching from the palm-fringed beaches or picking up daisy shells while picnicing on a deserted island. Honeymooners can indulge and be pampered at the luxury resorts in the Bazaruto and Quirimbas Archipelagos.

Malawi

Malawi is one of the poorer countries in Africa with little development and infrastructure. This is made up in enthusiasm and friendliness and you will see bright smiling faces everywhere you go. As a tourist destination, Malawi is slowly moving away from being only an adventure travel destination to offering some lovely lodges around Lake Malawi. Water sports are the focus at Phumulani and Kaya Mawa with great diving, snorkeling, kayaking and sailing.
