Styled like an old-world farmhouse, Phinda Homestead has a homely, yet elegant feel highlighted by touches of locally-made African décor. The living areas comprise large open areas linked with undercover walkways that lead onto a large swimming pool with a sun deck.
There are four spacious air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms in the house, each accommodating two people. There is an extra room with four bunk beds available for children. A fire pit and fully equipped fitness room complete the picture, and your butler and chef will see to your every need. Phinda Private Nature Reserve is only 25 minutes’ drive from the World Heritage ISimangaliso Wetland Park which means seaside activities are within easy reach.
Within the reserve, you could encounter a variety of wildlife including the Big Five, cheetah, hippos, giraffe, red duiker, giraffe, suni, kudu, impala and nyala. Notable birds include the African green pigeon, green-winged pytilia, giant kingfisher and greater pelican.
