Situated in the Moremi Game Reserve of Botswana’s Okavango Delta, Camp Moremi is a three star camp offering both water and land based activities which make it the perfect location for guests who are seeking a one stop safari that offers both, and may have time constraints. The Camp accommodates just twenty two guests in East African-styled Safari tents situated beneath the cool canopy of giant ebony trees. Each unit is individually sited on raised Rhodesian Teak platforms with private adjacent bathroom facilities. The tents at Camp Moremi are light and airy, each featuring a viewing deck with unsurpassed views over the Xaxanaka lagoon.
In the evenings guests can relax in the elevated, elegant thatch and timber structure known as the Moremi Tree Lodge which includes a main sitting area, dining room and cocktail bar, as well as a wildlife reference library. The main building has been cleverly constructed high in the trees to afford guests spectacular views over the many channels of the Okavango Delta. Guests can spend the afternoons at Camp cooling off in the secluded swimming pool and taking in the surrounding sights from the sundeck, or relaxing in the thatched boma where brunch and high tea are served.
Enjoy sundowners on the veranda before moving up to the formal dining room where lavish diners are served and which offers guests wonderful vistas over the Delta.
At Camp Moreni, the focus is on the plentiful wildlife of the surrounding area which can be seen with ease in their natural habitat. Game drives accompanied by knowledgeable rangers in open 4×4 vehicles are offered both in the early morning and late afternoons with frequent sightings of leopard, lion and cheetah, as well as the elusive wild dog. Guests can also explore the surrounding Okavango channels and Xaxanaka lagoon via a motorboat.
