Kingston Treehouse is built among granite outcrops in the Lions Sands Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. The treehouse is close to Ivory Lodge and we recommend honeymooners booked it in conjunction with a stay at Lion Sands River or Ivory lodges. While staying at the treehouse you’ll enjoy a privileged and secluded outlook over the surrounding bushveld and its resident wildlife, as well as unparalleled views of the African night skies.
Constructed entirely from glass and wood the treehouse seemingly floats 10m above ground. This means uninterrupted views from everywhere, including the full bathroom.
A deluxe king-sized feather bed, twin pull out beds, a lounge and dining area complete the picture. Safety features include a safety drawer, drawbridge and a two-way radio. There is solar lighting in the bedroom, bathroom and along the balustrades.
During the afternoon of your stay, you’ll be escorted to the treehouse by a game guard and left to enjoy intimate solitude. A gourmet picnic basket and the drinks of your choice are provided. Uniquely, children between the ages of 10 and 14 years old can join you during your stay in this treehouse. Your game guard remains on call until he collects you after breakfast in the morning.
Your elevated location gives you a better chance of seeing some more of Lions Sands plentiful game species. The reserve has an abundance of lion, leopard, elephant, leopard and buffalo as well as zebra, giraffe, impala and cheetah. You may even get to see a few of the shy nocturnal species like aardvark or honey badger.
