The double volume spaces of the main lodge with their soaring thatch roof are welcoming with a log fire in winter, cosy library lounge and a large viewing deck and outdoor lounge leading to the river and an oval swimming pool. Generous meals are served in the dining area, on the outside deck around the ancient jackalberry tree or in the boma around a camp fire.
Experienced guides lead the game drives in open vehicles, searching out the best sightings. Being in a private concession the vehicles can go off-road for key sightings and it is never crowded, with varied wildlife including big cats, elephants and rhino. Sundowners with delicious snacks and drinks in scenic spots are all part of the safari romance.
