Tengile River Lodge has 9 secluded suites, all located in the shade of the riverine forest on the banks of the Sand River. Each suite has been built with sustainability and the environment in mind, blending in seamlessly with the surrounding bush while still offering levels of comfort and luxury international safari guests are looking for.

Interiors make use of slatted raw wood, natural light and handcrafted locally-made furnishings and fabrics. Each suite is large and supremely luxurious featuring a master bedroom with a king-sized bed, private lounge area, dining area and bar as well as a spacious outdoor deck with a private plunge pool. 

The en-suite bathrooms have double vanities, huge showers and deep baths. The floor to ceiling sliding windows allows you to let the outside in while soaking in the tub. The suites can be adjusted to accommodate up to 2 children under 12 years of age.

The luxury continues in the shared spaces where you’ll find an open-air boma, lounge, bar and dining room. Meals take place either indoors or outside in the boma around the fire, and guests can expect gourmet dishes crafted from locally produced, organically farmed foods.
