Staying at the rebuilt and refurbished Kwara Camp is an opportunity to escape the hustle of modern life. Set in a prime location in the Okavango Delta in Botswana with access to both the water and land safaris, the larger and more luxurious Kwara Camp is an ideal safari destination. Activities include game drives, boat cruises, mokoro excursions and catch and release fishing along the Okavango waterways.

The camp comprises 9 permanent canvas tents, featuring raised wooden floors and simple yet elegant African decor. Each tent includes an en-suite bathroom with spectacular views, a luxurious bath, and an indoor and outdoor shower with hot running water. Guests can enjoy sundowners on their private deck, overlooking the lagoon. All rooms have ceiling fans to cool the air and mosquito nets around the beds.

The main camp is a welcoming centre where guests can gather for meals in the dining room, or relax at the pool, lounge and bar. Although the camp offers modern conveniences such as running water and solar power, Kwara is a ‘digital detox’ experience. There is no wifi or mobile phone signal. Guests are encouraged to embrace a ‘disconnect’ from the digital world, and simply enjoy being at one with nature.

Kwara Camp is located on a private lagoon in the Okavango, with access to both the water and land safaris. The waterways of the Delta give rise to a host of diverse activities – from guided walks and game drives (including night drives) to boat cruises and catch and release fishing.

Kwara Camp is not suitable for children, and there is a strict over-18 only policy; however, it is ideal for honeymooners or small groups in search of an authentic African safari experience.
