Game drives, mokoro boat trips, guided walks and night drives reveal abundant and diverse wildlife, from elephant, giraffe and lion to wildebeest and leopard, and spectacular bird-watching of both dry and wetland species.
Blending seamlessly into the shady trees, the three tented rooms are connected to the main camp and swimming pool by raised wooden walkways. Beautifully furnished with contemporary elegance, the big bed is canopied in mosquito netting, there are warm rugs on the solid wooden floor, leather armchairs, writing desk with tea and coffee facilities and plenty of storage. The ensuite bathroom has an enclosed flush toilet and large shower with excellent water pressure and there is a private deck with a wonderful view of passing animals. Entirely solar-powered, the night silence at camp is broken only by the cries of animals and singing of frogs.
Warm and friendly hospitality from the cheerful team makes guests feel like part of the family, with lively brunches and evening meals in the comfortable dining room serving a choice of well-cooked food in generous quantities. As the winter rains swell the waters, a silent glide among the channels on a traditional mokoro is a fantastic way to observe the secret life of the delta, or exciting trips on the motor boat explore further afield spotting hippo and crocodile. Game drives take you over dry land and forest fringes both winter and summer, where lion and leopard roam with herds of elephant, Cape buffalo, zebra, giraffe and a host of plains game.
The small size of the camp is perfect for families and couples who want to get close to nature, offering a truly personalised safari experience and a magnificent introduction to the magic of the Okavango Delta.
