LONDOLOZI WAS INCREDIBLE – WE SAW REMARKABLE THINGS. EVERY ANIMAL MANY TIMES AND UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL.

Michelle,

Well, I feel like you already know everything I have to tell you.  We loved Cape Town – it was one of the most beautiful cities we have seen.  Table Mountain, the Wharf area, the drive down to the point to see the Cape of Good Hope, the penguins, the people were incredibly nice, and the baboons posed nicely for us.  Erika did a great job.

Londolozi was incredible – we saw remarkable things.  Every animal many times and up close and personal.  We watched a leopard take an impala up a tree as it was chased by a hyena trying to take the prey away.  We had a very close encounter with a rhino and its baby.  We watched 19 lions devour a cape buffalo.  I could go on.  The guide Peter was the single best part of the trip, along with his tracker Terrance.  They made the whole experience special.  The Granite Camp was insane.  I want to live there.  Olivia was a gracious hostess.

Victoria Falls was obviously awe inspiring and The Royal Livingstone Hotel was wonderful – with its zebras wandering the yard and its location so close to the fall.  Our guide there (Jacob) was really great.

The Zambezi Queen was great as well.  By that time we thought we had seen all the animals we could but there we saw a lot of hippos, crocs and beautiful birds.  Again, the people were great.

Of course the best hotel I have ever seen was the Saxon in J’burg.  Wow.  We didn’t want to leave.  When we did leave and ventured out we loved the Apartheid Museum – really well done and again the we loved the guide.  Of course we have thousands of pictures to torture our friends with.  I am sure some will be calling you.

Kevin
