Victoria Falls is the Adventure Capital of Africa! Seeing the Falls (from either Zambia or Zimbabwe) offers more than just breathtaking views and the natural surroundings of the amazing UNESCO World Heritage site – it’s also a fun playground for adventure-loving travellers young and old.

Here’s a list of activities on offer at Victoria Falls

– Guided Tour of Victoria Falls –

A GUIDED TOUR OF VICTORIA FALLS – An opportunity to enjoy the sheer power and beauty of Victoria Falls up close . Your guide will share fascinating insights while you take photos from the lookout points. In high water season you’ll be given an umbrella or a raincoat!

– Zambezi Sunset Cruise –

SUNSET CRUISE – A lovely way to enjoy the  beauty of the mighty Zambezi River and take photos of the spectacular African sunsets. Look out for hippo, crocodile, and elephant and lots of bird species. Enjoy sundowner drinks and snacks. Some cruises offer dinner.

– Helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls –

HELICOPTER FLIGHT –  A scenic helicopter (or microlight) flight allows you to appreciate the full scale of the Falls from above.

– Gorge Swing –

GORGE SWING – This  is a giant swing! If you like thrills and adrenalin rushes…. Leap into the wide-open air as you plunge into the mouth of the Batoka gorge.

– Zip Line –

ZIP LINE – This is the longest zip line ride in the world, suspended over the Batoka Gorge. You are harnessed and attached to a pulley.

 – Flying Fox –

FLYING FOX  – A cable slide that will have you soaring horizontally through the air over the gorge 200 meters wide and 120 meters deep. This is a great appetiser before you try the Zip Line and Gorge Swing

– Canopy Tour –

CANOPY TOUR –  With views of the Zambezi rapids below and Victoria Falls Bridge and the spray of the Falls in the distance. It is suitable for families and children from the age of six years.

–  Chobe Day Trip – 

CHOBE DAY TRIP – Transfer to the  Chobe National Park in Botswana for morning boat based game viewing along the Chobe River. After lunch on the river bank go on afternoon game drive in the National Park. Expect to see large herds of elephants and a variety of other animals.

– Cataract Tour –

THE CATARACT ISLAND NEW FALLS TOUR  – A guided excursion to Cataract Island, one of the islands located along the precipice of the 1.7km long sheet of falling water.

– Livingstone Island and Devil’s Pool (Zambia) –

LIVINGSTONE ISLAND – Arrive by boat and then follow in the footsteps of Dr David Livingstone to the edge of the waterfall. Depending on river heights, prepare to be drenched in the spray from the Falls or watch a rainbow stretch across the open gorge. Those who wish can even take a dip in Devil’s Pool or Angel’s Pool.

HIGH TEA – on the lawns of the historic Victoria Falls Hotel or one of the other beautiful hotels in the area. It’s tradition! Enjoy cake and pretty nibbly bits with a view of the bridge and the Falls or the river.

GUIDED BUSH WALK – A great way to re-tune your senses and get a ground level experience. A professional guide will share his knowledge of the bush, the wildlife and local customs.

– Elephant Encounter –

HORSE RIDING SAFARIS – Set off along the banks of the Zambezi River in the National Park. This is a superb wilderness experience for all levels of rider. Experienced riders have the opportunity to canter through open bush veld, follow game paths, ride onto secret islands.

– Quad Biking –

– Upper Zambezi Canoeing –

BOMA DINNER & DRUMMING – Feast, drum, sing and dance around the fire at The Boma  traditionally, these nights are filled with dancing, drumming, singing and feasting around the fire.

 – Black Rhino Game Drive –

BLACK RHINO GAME DRIVE – The focus on this game drive is searching for the endangered Black Rhino. Their population in this game reserve is healthy. The black rhino have pointed lips to pluck leaves from branches and the white rhino have square lips, ideal for cropping grasses.

–  Steam Train to the bridge –

STEAM TRAIN JOURNEY TO THE BRIDGE – Revel in nostalgia of a bygone era aboard a restored locomotive with a dining car and an observation car. Stop for sundowners and dinner on the historic Victoria Falls bridge.
