Chobe National Park, Botswana
Chobe is easy to get to and cheaper than the rest of Botswana. Famous for its vast herds of elephants, Chobe National Park is the second largest park in Botswana. Chobe is the perfect safari destination to combine with a visit to the Victoria Falls and the nearby Okavango Delta. There is a wide range of accommodation in Chobe from luxurious lodges and camps to more budget-friendly family options.
Most of the lodges are situated outside of the Chobe National Park and drive into the reserve daily for game drives. The exception is Chobe Game Lodge which is situated inside Chobe. The Chobe River is the lifeblood of the region. All lodges in Chobe offer boats trips down the river where in addition to the incredible wildlife, you can spot numerous bird species.

A luxurious river boat, the Nguni Voyager moves between the rivers of Chobe and the Upper Zambezi in Botswana. While moored in the Chobe National Park, the water-based game viewing is superb and you can see elephant, buffalo and the big cats. Be lulled to sleep by the gentle lapping water and the sounds of the African bush. The birding is also spectacular. Smaller boats take you to surrounding floodplains and forest areas, or you can choose to go on foot.
